Garden Construction

The very busy new owners of this house asked us to remove an old swimming pool, paving and fencing and build a new area to entertain friends, sun bathe, have a bbq or just simply relax. Planting would be carried out by our clients who wanted to add a personal touch to the changes.

The story in pictures, start to finish

First we removed the swimming pool which exposed a lot of concrete and steel supports.

Then we removed all of the concrete and steel supports.

The ground was then levelled and ready to start construction.

The ground was then marked out, concrete footings put in place, brickwork carried out and hardcore compacted (over a geotextile membrane) to the correct height. We also took down the old blue fencing ready to install new panels.

The paving chosen by the client was then laid in a random pattern on a full bed of mortar.

Once the paving was complete we filled the joints with compacted mortar. The top level of the garden was levelled, prepared and turfed. We used existing old railway sleepers to retain the turfed area. New fencing panels were installed.

A new concrete shed base, curved pathways and armoured cable wiring put in place for the new shed and lighting. Client will plant up the area in the spring of 2014.

Job done!
